I'm frankly a little surprised it got called because the weather seemed to be moving out. I'm further southwest of the park, but there hasn't been a ton of rain.

Among others, Altuve is really struggling.
Wow, I didn’t realize he had a negative WAR for the year, according to baseball reference. LF is really kicking his arse and bringing the team down.
Altuve, Rodgers, Yordan, Walker, and Dubon are all negative WAR at this point. Still somewhat early, but also a Parcells “you are what your record says you are” realization.

I’m glad you said this because I think it’s really the elephant in the room. I think Altuve is still really good, but it would be dishonest to say he isn’t on the decline. And “on the decline” doesn’t have to mean disaster. Just means he isn’t elite. The thing is, that would be fine if Yed wasn’t sucking and/or Walker hadn’t been a complete tick turd.
This team is a big bag of “meh” which in a lot of ways is worse than completely sucking because it says to the front office, “ we’re just a complementary piece or two away”…which is not true. None of that matters if your alleged stud player (Yed) is sucking arse.

As weak as this team looks they are still a game over 500. Starting pitchers have generally come through with decent performances. But hitting has been awful. Cam and Zach are young and should improve. They do miss big hits from Breggie and Tuck.

I agree. But that’s the issue. I’m afraid that’s what they’ll continue to be unless Alvarez steps it up. He needs to be literally 100 points better right now.
And the hitting approach overall is beyond bad. But they refuse to change anything re game planning. I know it’s literally a whole new regime in place from the old days but they act like this is the 2019 lineup and it will all eventually come together.
