I was elated when they signed him. I’ve never been more disappointed with a free agent or trade acquisition and that’s saying something. I can’t believe how steep and quick the fall has been

I cannot express how excited I was when we signed him

Verlander might be the only signing that had me more excited

He's 36. A bad organization fricked around with his swing. He was there so long he got comfortable as an established leader who was always good enough while now I assume he feels a type of pressure as a big ticket signing by a powerhouse that he's not used to dealing with outside of his sliver of playoff experience. He's also a notoriously slow starter.

I believe he can turn it around but he's gotten so mindfricked that it's hard to guess how and when.

Part of me still feels that way. The pressure part especially

But night after night of rando pitcher filling up the zone without a worry in the world, even with runners on base, and there he sits 0-2 just overmatched versus 92 middle middle

I thought early on he was just taking a RC approach to stay back on offspeed, something I encourage Bregs to do, but it has become apparent that he just can’t catch up

His timing appears to be way off but it could just be age has caught up to him. It's hard to tell but I still lean towards mechanics being out of whack.

As for Bregman, he has a pattern. He tries to hit for power and becomes a pop out machine. He just tries to square up the ball where it's pitched and becomes a star player. The cycle has swung around to the former at a particularly bad time for the offense.

We used to do a lot of dumb shite when our balls were juiced, too.

To see FODB laughing and cutting up with Mancini while giving him his ring is infuriating.

I know he wasn’t great while he was here but the sporadic playing time couldn’t have helped.

Holy shite Framber is getting 0.87 runs per game from the offense in his 6 home starts.

Dusty ain't about to hear any of that statistical nonsense. There's no such thing as 0.87 runs. Ain't never see that on no scoreboard before. Maldy still starts for Framber until one of them dies.

That’s the kind of cheap hit that could get him started

Dusty says he sees no fractions of runs on that scoreboard right now.

1. Good to see him pull a ball in the air with at least some modest punch behind it.

B. He caught a break. That ball should have been caught.
