Mate, ever thought about taking a break from watching? I don’t see the point of taking “joy” in whatever this mess has become.

Certainly not following like I typically have over my lifetime.

Just happened to be at work and put it on the TV in my waiting area.

Had 3 opportunities to actually witness an AB.

Diaz watching 3rd strike, Matthews AB when Tuve was CS, and Matthews watching strike 3 for the 2nd time

Going to get shutout by Chris fricking Bassitt in the big 2026

It won’t change anything, but I need blood whenever they lose this DH by a combined 13-4. Both of them gone.

I think the Red Sox series could be the end of the line for both Espada and Brown if this keeps up.

Impossibly bad team.

It’s a bad roster, you could run the simulation 100 times and land on them being this bad maybe once.

Crane pretty much punted on this year and opted to do little to improve the roster with the lock out and lost season coming next year. Dana and Espada are on expiring contracts. Lame ducks. Espada doesnt really matter if you're just carrying a patchwork roster into the lockout year and not renewing him.

Brown matters a bit more and it has to be decided if he's going to stick around. If not, why let him have impact on the teams future by keeping him around to draft.

I do wonder how long Crane is going to let this team continue as an embarrassment without making any kind of performative sacrifices. But if were real, this team is just as much if not more his fault, than anyone else.

You can’t have Brown touching the draft and trade deadline.

The injury luck with the pitching has been pretty bad. Brown's offseason starter acquisitions cratering in a contract year are on him entirely.

I am a tad annoyed that Astros baseball may be pointless until at least 2028.

Dana's whole thing (via the Crane, Reggie, Bagwell, Dusty hivemind) was traditional scouting. Oh were gonna restock with system with a guy who has an eye for ball. frick dem computers. We want ball guys getting us ball players.

Hows that system looking? Matthews bat has Texas sized holes, Janek is hitting .130 in AA, Neyens looks like a strikeout machine early. The draft is a crapshoot I know but that was supposed to be Dana's whole thing.

As much shite as Crane gets he has to know this is broken and he’s made a mistake getting away from the nerds.

The Click situation still pisses me off. Because it was so bluntly obvious what it was. Crane got tight with Reggie and Bagwell. Dusty cozies up to that Brain trust of gritty old school knowers of ball and starts cutting out Click. Remember Dusty going to Crane to kill the Contreras trade? Cant have your field manager cutting out the GM to kill trades. So Crane chose Dustys vision.

Not a single playoff win since then.
