On the bright side If Seattle (tied 0-0) and Anaheim (up 2-1) win we're only .5 out of first

He was 200 feet from the plate and you can't assume a garbage throw even the most average to below average big league arms make a strong enough throw there to get even the quicker runners.

I get the impression this team because of last year's success thinks it can walk on the field and win. They are the hunted now. And it's going to take good pitching, hitting and solid baseball to win games. You can't strikeout 20 times on shitty pitches. You can't lose baserunner said like we did today and you have to play situational baseball and get runners home. Despite the poor outing by keuchel we needed to score more and the shitty approaches were exactly that. Shitty!

And apparently we're still a shitty road team.

The offense still seems to rely almost exclusively on the home run and they're still prone to getting totally shutdown by a pitcher with strikeout stuff. Combine that with the fact that our rotation is a clown show and we've got some really problems out of the gate.

And we were apparently an excellent home team last season. If that holds, maybe the next week will be fun?

You don't assume a garbage throw. You assume that he's a lot less likely to make an accurate throw to get him out. Given what we know now, it was the objectively wrong result. I'm not saying that makes the decision wrong, but the game is still going right now if he goes. There's a lot of stuff that would go into the decision.

Anyway frick everything.

You win today if you don't give away three outs on the bases. I firmly believe that against the opponent we faced. We'll see if they play smarter moving forward.

I think it was a mistake for JL to leave the SP as is.

i fear this series will reveal a lot more

It's hard because Musgrove and Martes alone have so much promise for the rotation soon. But they have 2017 potential to be full-season options. Will they (be needed to) help this season?

Didn't even realize that we had 1 hit between the 1st and 9th innings.

He shut us down in the exhibition in Houston. I was expecting it. Though not to this degree

Pretty sad. Bad approaches all day long other than our home runs. Altuve wanted to crush everything today after the leadoff homer. Swung at balls in his eyes. It's also sad that we're batting with 7 guys in a national league park, with the pitcher and Castro in the lineup.

Same. The gun said he was throwing 87 but it looks like the Miller Park radar is a bit slow. They only had Fields at 93 tops today so that confirmed my suspicions.

The Royals just sent a runner in the bottom of the 10th with 2 outs on a wild pitch that got just outside the dirt. With Lo Cain at the plate! How could they take the bat out of his hands?
