I have no idea what went on with Click, but I’d be fascinated to find out. I don’t think he was some elite executive, but they’d be in a hell of a lot better spot if they’d just kept him in place

In the end, it's all on Crane, from his meddling to the GM shuffle.
Him being embarrassed has caused the downfall of the franchise. Not sure he'll ever go back to what we had before.

Then I hope he sells the team.

I do think Crane wants to win. Not at all costs, but this isn’t some passive income valuation climb for him. He’s seen how fun it is to win at the highest level, and he’s seen what works and what doesn’t in pro baseball in modern times

You're spot on about him, but his meddling with dumb contracts and trades alone make me want him out of the picture. It's a TYFYS type of thing, no hate.

Think I'm in the same boat. Obviously over the moon with him as an owner with the 2 titles, and making the ALCS 7 years in a row, and it was a refreshing change vs the end of the Uncle Drayton era.
Were quickly headed there I feel like, and some of it has just been plain unlucky (all the pitcher injuries) and maybe it was just the shitty medical team, who knows.
I just don't see this group of players competing against the other teams in the AL. Pitching staff seems decent on the surface, but this group of hitters is a far cry from the 17-22 years
You keep hoping someone makes the jump, and I just don't see it. It's basically just the streaky Altuve, hopefully healthy Yed, and Paredes, and Correa once in a blue moon

And we know Crane won't sign off on a big tear down (muh window is always open) because he's about making money on what he (in reality, Luhnow) built.

Luhnow, you sweet prince.
Not sure I've enjoyed watching a sport more than the 17-19 teams. Just wish we could have won a single fricking home game in the 19 series.

I’m afraid by the time May rolls around these threads will just be discussing various prospects across the league to see who we’d like to get at the deadline

MLB Gameday: Yainer Diaz swung at 47.9% of first pitches in 2025 (573 PA), an aggressive approach (MLB avg: 31.9%).

We got 3.2 fwar out of Brad Peacock in 2017. Had 4.8 in his whole career.

Doesn’t seem like anything has changed approach wise with the new hitting coaches. Granted, small sample size

Players have to listen. If they don't, need to start benching.

Looks like Loperfido has taken to coaching...
...Toronto coaching.

Jose didn't see a single fricking strike.
Yed up as the tying run.

Retard Altuve wasted a challenge for no reason early to screw himself later.

Dumbass challenges early cost us a bases loaded 1 out opportunity for Yordan.
