Feliz is back in the running for the last bullpen spot and I don't know why. He's a starter. If he's not in our rotation, he needs to be in Fresno's. It's stupid to waste his talent as a long man in our pen.

It came from Hinch earlier today.
Honestly I think Neshek is going to continue to struggle. He's throwing some fat pitches and getting hit around.

Yeah, I just don't think that makes any sense whatsoever. Feliz needs to start, like you said.

I mean he could be a bullpen arm if that's what they wanted. He's got strikeout stuff. But it doesn't sound like they're considering him for a true bullpen spot but rather a long man /spot starter. I think that's a waste. He's got high upside as a starter. Let him develop a little more at AAA. I think he'll contribute at some point this year. Likely takes over when Feldman inevitably gets injured.

They really have to let him prove he cannot be a starter before switching him to the pen, where you'd hope he'd be a late-inning option and not a long man.
