No mention of White going 2 for 3 with a double so far today? Disappointed in the DAT.

Is that abnormal for His Highness? I mean, it is a day that ends in 'y' after all.

I know it's very early, but jeebus our starting pitching has dominated so far in the first 6 games. Take out Peacocks performance on the split squad and the rest of the starters have combined for

10 innings pitched
6 hits given up
10 strike outs
And
0 runs allowed.

Looks like Hinch got a raise and extension thru 18'

quote:

Astros management, as well as the rest of the league, took notice of the job Hinch did, and the Astros in turn took action.

The Astros and Hinch this past offseason agreed to a revised contract, the Chronicle has learned, guaranteeing Hinch more money and putting him in position to remain with the club longer.

At a time when the Astros have a core of young, top-flight players under team control — Dallas Keuchel, Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa, Lance McCullers, Collin McHugh, Ken Giles and beyond — the manager can be added to the mix.

"He's the right manager for the right team," Altuve said this spring.

The exact terms of Hinch's original and revised contracts are not known. Hinch's deal is believed to be guaranteed through at least 2018,

September was rough and fans were getting frustrated but I don't think anyone wanted the manager that got the team in the postseason for the first time in 10 years fired. That's just ridiculous.

I have no problem with Hinch other than not earholing the entire Royals lineup.

My issues with hunch had nothing to do with the September collapse. That had more to do with the lineup completely tanking and some relief pitchers falling apart.
