To be honest, your Reds should have won the World Series in 2012. Or at the least, played in it.

Yankees are traveling back to New York tonight. Left Houston around 12:15 and scheduled to get into New York just after 4:00 local.

Astros are flying out at 12:30 tomorrow and getting there after 5.

Yankees are scare of the Houston mojo. Gotta get out of town before they fall apart even more.

Question is, will they be able to get a hotel? I mean it's NYC, hotels are hard to come by there.

Bitches.

I also like how many excuses they are making and how they are saying how winnable game 2 was...

It would be easy for the Astros to say "Should have been 3-0 score"

Framber should have turned a double play. The Yankees 2 runs came because of an error that cost us the shutout.

Probably because the roof was open... Roof is closed and Framber makes that double play.

2 errors on the same play. Thank God Houston opened the roof for that one AB to knock down Judges winning HR. 4d chess

Neither manager Dusty Baker nor general manager James Click has a contract for next year with the Astros, an unusual and perplexing situation for a team that made the World Series last year and is in the ALCS again this season. But while rumors are floating around about both men, sources have said Baker will be invited back to manage in 2023.

Click’s Astros future, however, seems surprisingly uncertain. Owner Jim Crane personally hired Click, but indications are the owner believes his GM has put too great an emphasis on analytics

quote:

Click and Baker, while both congenial fellows, were an odd pairing from the start, and they don’t appear especially aligned. It’s Baker’s call to use the Astros’ big deadline pickups, Christian Vazquez and Trey Mancini, only sparingly. Click admitted Vazquez and Mancini haven’t put up the same numbers as on their previous teams, but didn’t dispute he and Baker aren’t always in agreement.

“What we have here is a healthy group of different opinions,” Click said.

It's insane to me that Crane would pick a 73 year old dinosaur who won't be here 5 years down the road over a GM/philosophy that's put him in 6 straight ALCS and 3 World Series. Guy is seriously going to reject analytics in favor of Baker ball?

Crane is addicted to the positive PR and charisma that Baker brings following the scandal. Possibly at the expense of critical wins.

i think we are kinda cucked to Dusty for various reasons but i also think he retires with a WS win. All more reason to want a win

No chance. He already said if he wins one, he wants to go for two.

Was I just seeing things, or did Bregs HR not hit the community leaders sign behind the boxes?

No, it landed about 6-8 rows back. Never hit the sign.

I’m almost positive it bounced off a wall. Watching the replay it changes directions before landing in the seats

Print the damn shirts: "Almost 1-1 Series due to an almost Judge HR and an almost Bregman out."

These fricking clowns are embarrassing themselves. And the sports media wants to cry victim to Astros fans being completely done with their shite.

One result of that regrettable episode is that fans here have unusual trouble telling heroes from the villains. They loudly boo Aaron Judge, the newly crowned AL all-time single-season home run champ and great all-around guy who has no known association with garbage.

One particular orange-clad fellow here was seen screaming at the press box both pregame and postgame, and while generally incoherent, the message seemed to be: lay off our Astros you mean New York press corps.

i gave heymans game 1 article a click, what a douchebag

I wouldn't boo Aaron Judge every AB... but he is their best player so he gets the boos that are really aimed at the whole franchise.
