Ryno! I was hoping you’d start the thread today. Desperate times, desperate measures.

My bad guys. That's whole reason I asked to make it since I had not done one all year [had in years past though]. Figured desperate times, desperate measures as well.

Never wanna step on legends toes such as Ryno. I'm willing to take the risk of failure on this though. WE GOT THIS.

I may not post much in here, but I follow daily and enjoy the schtick of Ryno in here. He always gives me a good laugh. Now 3 wins and off to Cincinnati.

If you want to make it feel more like a Ryno thread, just edit the entire OP to read, "It was never winnable."

Or just say such and such a player was doing it his way.

Jbj just so happens to have every rbi ever in the history of baseball.

Except for that one that Pearce has, he does.

To me, this series turned in game 2 with a ball off the bat of JBJ that hit the green monster with the bases loaded, bounced off the warning track, onto a 3-inch side wall padding and balanced on top of it for two bounces, out of marwin’s reach and trickled back up the left field line, allowing devers to score from first.

Since that play, the Red Sox have gotten what seems like every break go their way. They keep spouting off these catch probabilities during the game. I wonder what the odds were for that ball to do what it did after hitting the wall.

So I am floored by the success McCann has had vs Price in his career.

Also Springer has 14 strikeouts vs Price in 24 ABs... woof

Casual observer here, any reason the mlb is keeping the 2-3-2 format alive? Complicated travel or something?

Doing 2-2-1-1-1 would provide extra offdays that would test pitching depth less IMO. I don’t know if that’s the reason why but I am glad they have kept it for that reason

Either that or some absurd travel.

I like the 2-3-2 format, even though it potentially gives the home team one less home game worth of revenue if the series goes 5.

Ahh didn’t really think of it in terms of pitching rest. That makes sense

With Correa showing signs of life at the plate, do you think hinch reverts to a more traditional batting order?

I'd be happy as hell if there is a game 7.

They could let Tony Sipp start and I'd be happy to be watching a game 7.

They could have McCann in RF, Gattis playing CF, and White in LF and I'd be happy to be watching a game 7.

Put Altuve at C, I don't care, let's get a game 7.

Nope. AJ is hesitant to ever change the lineup. Particularly if it's working. He probably repeats last night's lineup.
