Really thinking about leaving straight from class to drive to Houston to watch this game with a friend who is a diehard Stros fan. What is parking like around the stadium? We wouldn't get there until right at game time. Been quite some time since I've been to Minute Maid.

Hopefully we come out with some fight behind Verlander, move Correa to the 4 hole and let's do this. I don't want to see one bullpen pitcher today.

The lineup will be a curious sight today. I thought it went well....except for Bregs in the leadoff spot. I think that was just an anomaly. I would put Bregs back there again without hesitation. I would hate to see the season end today with Carlito just getting warmed back up.

And I think Kemp gets the start even with Price pitching. I just don't see any physical way Altuve can play in the field. Marwin is good at 2nd.

So leave Kemp in vs. the lefty.....unless you want to trot Gattis out to left

The only other thing I could see happening is putting Marwin in left, Yuli at 2nd, and White at 1st....but I think Kemp has to stay in

The only double possibility is it mookie brings the ball onto the field without catching it and even then, it could be an error.

That's what Joe West thought happened at first... but no way that's charged as an error.

Louisiana Red Sox fans are absolutely pathetic, grow up buddy

Louisiana doesn’t have an MLB team. Why is an astros fan in LA any better than anyone else?

Still shots that I've seen this morning paint a much different picture than the replays that I saw on television last night. Everything that I saw clearly showed Betts's glove to be beyond the yellow line and in the crowd.

In other words nothing that they had available to make a call during the game.

No, you are assuming the opposite of what I intended, but didn't word as clearly as I should have. Everything on the replays LAST NIGHT clearly showed that Betts was over the line. The still shots this morning that I've seen cast doubt about that.

Or Marisnick in CF, Springer in RF, Reddick in LF.

I'd rather Kemp out there than Marisnick or Reddick though.

If Altuve can play, which i doubt, pull Yuli and slide Marwin to first

Bro it was like 2-3 feet up above the fence

Depends on how far in front of the fence contact was made. I don’t see how you can assume that ball is out any more than you can the contact occurred in front of the fence since there’s no replay angle showing good depth

Marisnick should not be playing unless he’s pinch running or a defensive replacement

Bregman 3B
Springer CF
Altuve DH
Correa SS
Marwin 2B
Reddick RF
Yuli 1B
McCann C
Kemp LF

Can't see them starting McCann against Price.

Maldonado just needs to get his head out of his arse behind the plate. He seemed to do a lot better as the game went on last night.

Probably not, but I’ll take an 0-4 with every JV curveball blocked over an 0-4 with a bunch of free bases. I agree he probably starts Maldonado though

The first contact with the fans occurred either a few inches in the field of play, directly over the fence or a few inches over the fence. I've seen lots of video and still angles and none are conclusive.

Just an unfortunate circumstance that it happened.

On to Game 5.

That's the exact lineup I would draw up. Correa is getting hot and it's time to move him back up.

Well then the below is pretty precise

Fair enough.

Either way, it’s a tough call and it was going to piss off one fan base.

We are going to have to win with offense again (not easy again JV). We will likely give up plenty of runs tonight.

Look, the Astros need to stop giving up 8 runs. This is why they lost the last 2 games.

That was a hell of a play by Betts regardless. That fricker covered some ground and got up there.

I agree with that. And like I said it was one thing along with a million frickups by the Stros that led to the loss.

I’m done with it now and mostly arguing because the “call on the field” deference thing always annoys me and I feel like it adds inherent bias to the replay officials regardless of the sport.

Out of the last 5 playoff series the Astros have played Betts terrifies me more as an opposing fan than any other player they’ve faced. He is incredible
