Shout out to Maldonado. He might now rake but hes a great catcher and leader on this team. Ive enjoyed him throughout the year.

He’s still a valuable piece, but he’s simply not a closer.

I agree with that. He’s got game. Just not in the 9th.

Zack Greinke on Dusty Baker keeping him in the sixth: “It’s nice having someone have confidence in me. Since I‘ve been here, they haven’t seemed to have confidence in my ability. It was nice having that happen at an important time like that.”

Asked specifically if this was in reference to Game 7 of the World Series, Greinke said "that was one example, but there's probably a dozen examples if you look back at it."

frick Hinch. Glad he got fired. Some dumbass team will hire him thinking he was the reason for all the wins.

I honestly don't get the hate for him. He swings a decent bat, has decent power, At least he ain't a Garneau.

Greinke setting himself up to be an arm we can count on next year

That’s an important piece in order to be competitive

Beltran next

I know Dusty isn’t helping his cause in these postgame interviews

LMJ will be in a contract year so he will ball out. Correa too. Need Whitley to step up and Alvarez to be healthy an d this team is the chalk even without Brantley and George.

Lol none of that is true.

I’ve got nothing on LMJ. He has been decent in the playoffs, which were all on the road. He should give some good home starts

Whitley not worth mentioning.

Need 2 OFs. Not gonna find Springer-Brantley production, but you do have Reddick’s money to work with, and Yed is going to likely produce on Springer+ level

Would be great to just hand Brantley Reddick’s money for 2 years, then just sign a cheap defensive CF

Funny how there’s not a troll in sight when the Astros win. I’m sure they’ll be back tomorrow as soon as something goes right for the rays.

Anyone think it's a real possibility that we re-sign Brantley and go out and get a defensive first guy like Jackie Bradley Jr??

I think it's a legit possibility.

I think everyone would rather re-sign George, but if/when he bolts, I'd love to see Brantley back.

The question is whether or not ownership will try to win another title or have they decided that the window is closed and a rebuild begins.....We're going to have to spend some money on re-signing or bringing in some talent. (Catcher would REALLY be nice).

Maldy is back next year, and he's perfectly fine for a #1 catcher.

A backup that isn't a complete waste of space would be nice.
