Legend has it...when the moon is full and the gulf breeze blows in, the ghost of Junction Jack and Austin Pruitt take the field at MMP under the light of the moon for an exhibition.

Even McTaggart can't confirm he actually exists

quote:

Well, I’m not sure. We don’t have access to the back fields or clubhouse so we are at mercy of what people tell us. We’ve been told he’s going to arrive, that he’s already there and then also a not sure. So...

Nobody can explain it, some say he's still alive. They'd even claim they've seen him on the shoreline late at night

@Chandler_Rome
Dusty Baker misspoke. This is the Astros' real opening weekend rotation against the A's, according to a team spokesman:

April 1: Greinke
April 2: Javier
April 3: McCullers
April 4: Urquidy

@JWho circling back to last night, I think we've found our puppet. Dusty is there for display purposes only.

Ain't no doubt Strom handles all the pitching decisions while Dusty handles the media.

it’s the most unreasonable thing I think I’ve ever seen.

We play them what 20 games a year? And he might make it 2 years without pitching against us

Correa stayed home and played with the B squad today while the starters traveled to face the Mets. Weird.

Myles straw was a late scratch from the lineup because of contact tracing.

Bryan Abreu started against the Mets. His control issues aren't as cripping as they've been in the past, he can get through some innings but hes still got spotty command.

Maybe there are negotiations going on today.

@jakemkaplan
Bryan Abreu said he’s been told he’s made the Astros as a reliever.

He's a guy who needs Triple-A starts. Too bad there's no Triple-A baseball for a few weeks.

He threw a couple of really nice sliders for got whiffs for strikeouts. Just a really nasty pitch. But he also bounced a couple and seemed to be spotty with his fastball command. Still, I guess it should be encouraging that he's made some strides from last year where he couldn't hit the strike zone if it were a brick wall.

I'm willing to throw out last year for Abreu as a blip of immaturity if he locks in as a pro from here on out. Strom thinks he's going to be a longtime starter with ace upside so that's encouraging.

He had a charity event his foundation was hosting in West Palm, from what I read on Twitter earlier. That why he stayed back and played on the B game.
