I think your trade idea is terrible, but I’m not a big lmj fan either. I got ate up here for suggesting to trade him. He will throw a fit if he is moved to the BP. He pretty much admitted that. With that said I don’t think he can be a tor starter unless he takes a big leap forward with command consistency and a third pitch. You can keep him as a 4 or trade him before people realize he won’t take the next step to be a tor. With all that said he might take the next step and become a tor....I just don’t see it:

A year ago we were counting on him being our #1 or #2 in the near future
We are very fortunate to have him as a #4 this season, especially while on a rookie contract

I agree we are very lucky to have him as our 4. He just can’t stay healthy as a starter. When we signed Morton JL said we signed him not expecting him to make 30 starts. Same for lance. My post is mostly about when we were looking to upgrade the rotation. I would have been fine with having lmj as a trade centerpiece(for the right upgrades). Lucky we didn’t have to include him.

Anyone see the video of whitley hitting 99 at the DST training facility?
This kid may end up Being Our Kershaw.

He definitely let loose on that one. Should be able to sit 95-96 pretty easily

May send my 5 year old to DST after seeing the results bregman and whitley are getting.

3rd seems fine, 2nd is odd

How awesome would it be to be able to move 5 or 6 guys around the field based on the current batter?
Not just talking about using the shift, like swapping positions.

It’s a shame too cause I could see him being great in the pen

Dumb question, could you switch your pitcher and with a fielder (assuming said fielder was a good pitcher/matchup) then switch the pitcher back the next AB?

This pic was also taken during "Player's Weekend."
I was in Laredo running from Harvey that weekend, so I rewatched the Friday game from that weekend recently. Collin McHugh was sharp. I think we won 2-1 or somewhere in that range.

The Astros are projected for 101 wins at @FanGraphs right now. Projections are, by their nature, conservative. A *projection* of over 100 wins is wild -- and shows how insanely good Houston is.

Wonder if this was known and why he wasn’t invited to ML camp?
