So every one was all over SD State. They score a lot of points, they said. They are one of the best shooting teams in the country, they said. SD State put up big scoring totals against good teams early in the season, they said. Providence was the luckiest team in the nation, they said.
Well SD State is playing a team with a pulse for the first time since before Christmas, and it is showing. 24 first half points. Today's first example of how the "know it all's" on TV and the internet really don't have a clue. And there will be plenty more.

They also only gave up 31. No lead is safe this time of year. Especially a 8 point half time lead.

I don't care who wins

And I am probably done betting this bullshite. I have no idea what is going on and how to handicap it. I lost badly on 2 bets that I teased (Colorado St to +6.5 and South Dakota State to over 140) and am getting my arse kicked on a third (Boise St. teased to +7.5)

Got a damn push on SD St. at +9. Goober fouling with 18 seconds left. Ugh.

College basketball is the hardest thing to bet I've run across (disclaimer, I've only better NFL, NHL, NBA and college bball).
That being said, I'm all over this tournament

Just saw a parlay being promoted on Fanduel that I like.
4-leg by Jon Rothstein (+772)
Gonzaga -19.5
UNC ML
Ark -2.5
San Fran ML

Reason I wouldn't take it.

I'm taking Memphis -12 live if it odds are good. currently -15.5 (-125) with score 40-23

I think SF will win, but I like them +2.5 for a parlay. Still a +693 if you take the spread
Also I still have the parlay insurance on Fanduel, so I would do it there.

The only thing that I do know for sure is that in the NCAA tournament, teams within 10 points in the last minute will play the foul game as opposed to the regular season when they might just say "frick it" and go home down 10 with a minute to go.

Well that’s Longwood’s nickname from here on out. The Fighting Jason Mraz’s

I just realized you can do One Game Parlay on BetMGM for NCAAB.
I got K. Murray 20+ pts & Iowa to win (-250).

I have had reasonably good success betting spreads and over/unders on college basketball since all this became legal. I am a decent amount ahead. But come post season, it is so much harder. During the regular season, especially in conference play, you can look at a lot of data and comparisons between teams who all play each other a lot.
Come tournament time, it is like comparing apples to oranges. Who knows how a team like South Dakota State will match up with Providence? Will Memphis' better athletes win out over Boise State's shooters and slower pace? It is a total crapshoot.

Yeah Longwood and their bullshite can frick right off. Getting them at + 18.5 seemed like a good idea at the time. So here they are down 25 at half looking like they don't belong in the same building as Tennessee.

Memphis -2.5
UNDER 132.5
Mladen Armus OVER 6.5 rebounds
Abu Kigab OVER 3.5 rebounds
Marcus Shaver Jr. 2+ assists
Lester Quinones 1+ 3 pointer made
Sooo close. Shaver and Kigab blow it by 1 assist and 1 rebound respectively.
Had a 7 leg too and screwed it up by betting Memphis wins both halves. I meant to bet Memphis 1/2 ML and Final ML.
