I’d guess this’ll work, but never posted a photo here.
Also alongside my two of my losing bets today.
EDIT: if someone tells me where to post an image for free, I’ll show my FanDuel bet on it

So you bet the Jackson St ML today? I don’t know what the spread was but wouldn’t it have been better to take some points? You may have even won it.

Night cap…Fade me for easy money
Arky -6
Murray St - 8

No sir on the spread, yessir on the ML. The idea of hedging is to bet against potential profit to ensure some profit. $500 on Jackson St ML would’ve net $4900 profit (losing the $100 put on LSU to win it all) at their odds.
If they had not covered, and I was aiming for $500 profit, I’d be down $550 instead of $500 without the potential upside of a crazy upset.

Mine is only $20, but when I saw LSU women’s bball +15000 on February 10th (if y’all wanna go back and look) on FanDuel, I saw $$$$

I wasn’t necessarily suggesting take all the points but at least some like an alt spread. Just for these earlier games so you at least have a shot to make something along the way. Would have been less payout this game but more realistic shot to make something along the way.

I’ll take +1000 odds vs +15000 odds over potential double dipping. Regardless of the alt spread, there is a chance it doesn’t get covered and I’m just simply out $. If I took JST -2 for +1100, is that worth it versus +1000 for a direct result?
I say no.

I’m saying more like JS +6.5. Spread was 13.

Mich beating Tennessee is why I know not to bet during March. I'm shook.

I think you’re missing the point. Hedging long shot odds is simply about hedging potential profit to ensure profit. $500 on JSU today would’ve resulted in $5000 gross payout. And then $4900 for the situation.
If I bet JSU +6.5 at the same $500 profit aim, if they don’t cover that’s a loss against my investment versus ensuring profit.

Don't want to jinx anything, but hit a pretty decent parlay earlier today after Providence called off the dogs and stayed under 134 points. Did a live bet on Saint Peter's 1st half ML that panned out. So that was nice. Still have some hope on my outstanding bets.

I’ve had some awesome beginners luck so far. This is my first time betting on March madness and I already 27x my money this week since I made my first deposit last Saturday. I love this tournament!
