No you weren't. You were hoping for anything that takes the focus off the Bama loss.

6 games

Why are you ignoring that they've had the benefit of playing 6 games?

How about USC? If they go undefeated should they be in the playoff?

There’s a reason football teams play just a few games compared to other sports. And that’s because the game is quite taxing. Every starter on the team will be banged up to some extent by the end of the season. Yet some people think having played 5-6 fewer games isn’t a huge deal. OSU fans should be mad at their own conference not anyone else. And I doubt most of them complaining would feel the same way if it was ND, Bama, or Clemson that played 6 games but OSU had to play them.

Buckeyes would beat Aggies by 3 touchdowns 10 out of 10 times.

Because I don't give a shite.

The playoff isn't about who has played the most games or any other bullshite metrics people come up with to argue for getting their team in.

It isn’t but it should be for teams that played a mostly full season. To get into the post season, you should have played a regular season. Ohio State has barely done that. With your logic, you would put OSU in even if the entire Big10 stuck with not having a season but OSU jumps in last minute having played zero games.

Agreed. Eye test matters and teams who lose to a team who last by 28 don't pass it imo

So what's the cut off? What do we need to do to make sure you get the easiest path to a title? Seems like that's what most of you who are bitching want. Win the games in front of you. Who gives a frick what Ohio State does.

Also, your logic is shite. 5 is not 0.

I don’t know why it’s so hard for you to see the difference between playing 5 fewer games. That’s a lot. Their resume consists of 6 games. That’s it. Football is a very physical and advantage of having played half a regular season is very big. OSU is the one with the BY FAR the easiest path to the title. YOU want to reward that. They barely even played a regular season. They doesn’t deserve a spot to play for champion of the year if they barely played in the year.

I’m using your logic since you said “the playoff isn’t about who played the most games”. Coastal Carolina has just a good a resume as OSU. USC is in a similar situation yet I don’t see you clamoring for either of them to be in.

So what. Clemson plays a schedule every year that's not much better and has BY FAR the easiest path to the title. If we are going to allow them to do it, well...

And this is why I don't really care what you have to say about it. Really? fricking Coastal Carolina?

Act like you'd be fine with putting Coastal Carolina in over Bama because they played more games.

Alabama invented back dooring your way to a title. It's hilarious to watch you bitch about anyone else do it.

Again

If Bama beat Clemson OSU Florida and ND but only played 4 games because of COVID you would think they should be left out?

The BEST teams should be in obviously taking games played as a factor. Games against ranked teams is a factor. Game control is a factor. SOS is a factor. Eye test is a factor.

Every season the ACC and SEC play less conference games than the other conferences. They play an additional meatball in November.

How does this help OSUs argument? They have played a garbage schedule and barely beat the only team with a winning record

OSU could beat the AFC north and AFC West in 2 weeks and you would say they suck.

Because # of games doesn't matter until it does. You have a hatred of OSU not even matched by ttun fans. You don't have reasonable arguments ever and cant get out of your own hatred.

Their schedule is exactly the same as UFs and A&Ms and Bamas. Everyone is playing a schedule where the teams are .500 since everyone is playing conference only.

OSU has the 2nd best opponents win % of the top 6, better than A&M and UF. Bama is only team better

Exactly. Those two conferences were busy playing politics and virtue signaling while everybody else played. Let their 6 game champs play each other in the Rose Bowl in front of no fans. Move the CFP from the Rose to the Orange or Cotton so fans can attend.

This ^^^^^^

The delay in the Big 10 starting was all political led by Gov. Whitmer.

Most of what he says there is not wrong. Every year we see a bunch of "contenders" at 5-0 or 6-0 and they die down. Games are played for a reason.

Had a couple of those teams with Les Miles.
