It is not like wade knows the other kids on the team or their parents or whatever. This is not your typical LA high school where there is that sense of community and we would expect him to attend even if his son wasn’t getting PT. This school the kid is at is a different kinda animal.

Having a sense of community and being buddies with the other parents isn't why a parent should be expected to attend events in which their kids are a part of the team.

Maybe he fricked their last nanny and the wife made the decision to have a man nanny this time.

This is more like a college atmosphere these kinda schools. Players are recruited.

Take the bench warmer from u high that walks on for LSU basketball do you think his parents go to every game? Doubtful. if they don’t go are they a bad parent? No of course not.

This isn't new though. He has always been on of those dads. There was a article saying his sons would complain a lot and flop a lot of Wade encouraged it and would tell his sons not to listen to the coach but to him. It was back around the time when LBJ first joined Miami or right before.

If I find it I will link it.

It seemed like Wade earned a pretty good reputation and was a likable guy from his playing days.

It also seems like he’s hell bent on destroying all of that in year 1 of retirement.

It's hella weird for me. I used to love Wade. I've been a fan of his since he came in the league. Became a huge fan when he won that first ring with Shaq. I have always rooted for him, and was conflicted as frick when my least favorite player (Lebron) came to play with him.

But since retirement he has become more unlikable by the day. Trying to seperate the player from the man in regards to him.

I've heard stories of Wade being an absolute piece of dogshit on multiple occasions so this isn't really surprising.

Of course, this is a guy who hired a film crew and begged all the teams to have a farewell Wade tour his final year. Worse was when he was doing that bull shite jersey exchange with every team and knowing that Dirk doesn't like him ambushed the dude to get the shot of them together. Since Dirk is a nice guy who doesn't make waves he went along with it but it obviously pissed him off that a guy who has always been an a-hole to him pulled that shite.

HS Has more sense of community. Even if your kid isn’t playing you will be more inclined to go bc his best friend who you been knowing his whole life is playing. if you don’t have those relationships and your kid isn’t playing, nbd to not attend.
