Leiter threw 124 pitches on Monday night, and Vanderbilt will be the afternoon game on Saturday.
I have a hard time imagining him starting that game. I could see them using him for 2-3 innings in relief to close out the game. That way he would still be available for the championship series.
If Leiter starts on Saturday, he would have to start Game 3 of the Finals on three-days rest. That entire scenario just doesn't sound smart.
ETA: I don't think Vandy is making the championship series.

I agree. I think Rocker will force an elim game but they’re not going to pitch Leiter after 124 pitches

Am I the only one who noticed how dorky the game winning runner ran in from 3rd? He just looked awkward as heck.

This has been an edge of your seat CWS.
Just in the last two night games:
Tuesday MS State was down by four runs before scoring 6 in the eighth inning and winning 6-5.
Last night the Annoying Whistlers were also down 4 runs before scoring 2 in the fourth, 2 in the sixth and 2 in the ninth (with a lot of help from Stanford) to win 6-5.
And then on Monday night NC St beat the Whistlers 1-0
In Sunday's late game MS St beat Texas 2-1
Saturday night the Annoying Whistlers beat Arizona 7-6
None of the early games (when they were playing 2 games a day) have even been close.
It has been a great World Series so far, especially for the night games, and hopefully it will continue

Yeah, they mentioned it, showed the Va players sitting under an umbrella in the dugout and then quickly cut away to some weird show with 4 chicks talking sports.
I'm watching something else and checking the two team's twitters to see when it starts. Right now it is still TBD on both.

Vegas and the Clippers are playing tonight in the mean time if y’all are bored. Should be good games. I’m guessing Vegas grabs this one for a gm 7 and Clippers grab one here. I’m hoping the Suns make it, but I think they get one in LA tonight. It’s been tough to keep up with who is even playing due to all these injuries.
ETA: it’s been a nice little oasis of watching these game threads. I don’t know the rules to hockey, but it’s been fun watching others sports(Football/UFC mainly) and seeing fans of other sports.
