But it's because his views didn't match their agenda.
and if this bothered them so much, he would have been fired the very first time he did something like this. He wasn't and he was given multiple chances to move forward

ESPN employs several people who will lambast Christians, blame actions of black athletes on white oppression, but it fits their narrative so you never hear anything else about it. It's typical liberal ideology.

You are pulling a lot of this straight out of your arse.

I'm sure this has been mentioned already, but I also find it hilarious he went fricking bankrupt a couple years ago yet still kept pushing them after receiving warnings. He's an idiot and terrible at his job and deserves to be fired, and I say that thinking transgender people and the laws around it are weird

Exactly. I'm not the biggest fan of this transgender stuff and the laws around it. But it's hilarious that a guy who lost all of his money because of a fricking RPG kept pushing his employer time and time again

This must be in reference to the time Curt Schilling went on an extended twitter rant against evolution. ESPN writer Keith Law defended evolution w/ actual facts.

Result of ESPN fratricide on twitter -- Keith Law suspended.

ESPN fired Schilling for a pattern of inflammatory statements and not heeding suspensions and requests. Compare this to Bill Simmons who was fired much more unceremoniously after taking 2 shots at Roger Goodell, which was bad for business.

ESPN's only mantra is that the network is bigger than the personalities. When the personalities have potential to negatively affect the business, they're gone. It's been that way for about 25 years now.

frick ESPN. I wish fox sports could pick up sec network so I wouldn't have a need for that liberal c u n t of a network.

That's all I have to say about that.

ESPN has a very clear agenda and hasn't been shy about promoting that. Saying they are doing this just to avoid dealing with it is uninformed.
jesus. He has done something like this like three times. I'm sorry he's too stupid to stop doing something even after he has been reprimanded. It's his fault he's getting fired. Not ESPN nor some agenda push

Seriously ESPN hired Tim Tebow, let him leave likely while under contract to try out for the NFL and then hired him back for the same position after he was cut, and Tim is a far, far more outspoken Christian than Curt ever has been. Schilling's just an a-hole who likes to push the line and got slapped down.

Curt Schilling probably wasn't a model employee for ESPN. This incident just gave them enough ammunition to find a reason to terminate him.

That meme is what they fired him over? The guy in the meme is mentally ill. Sorry, but Shilling is correct.

How is reposting that meme a big deal? There is nothing to it.
