I'm not saying we would win but around .t500 for a team that knows only last place could be nice. Would be great for Castro to get taste of winning more than once every four games this team plays scrappy...fricking bullpen sucks them out every game

LOL. Dolis got the Blown Save, not Marmol.
That's hilarious.

The Reds have no business winning this game.

ETA: Also, Ian Stewart didn't really help in that inning either.

And the BAbip is still .548. I'm not taking away from what he's done so far because his numbers are great. But league average BAbip is right around. 300 which is why his .548 is so mind blowing to me. Quite simply luck is on his side right now and damn near everything he hits finds a hole.
That number isn't anywhere near sustainable and he's bound for regression soon. But he may hot 30 homers which is more than I pegged him for. I would have written him off as a quad-A guy.

I had him figured for a AAAA player myself. But let's be honest, most hot hitters right now have high BABIP's. We're only a month in. Just like we know Albert Pujols won't sit at 1 HR for very long, we know LaHair won't have a 55% BABIP.
On the other hand, Ian Stewart has been hitting some lasers right at people this year. He is really unlucky, and also he's not that great, but still.
I've seen a good bit of LaHair's hits this year and he's stinging the ball all over the field. 9 pull hits, 11 hits to center, and 10 oppo hits.

And lets keep in mind who he's replacing... the man who can struggle to hit .200 Carlos Pena. So he didn't have to do a whole lot to be an improvement.

He was dreadful as a Cub. He's having a meh year so far in TB. SLG under .500.
