Demp was only at like 101 pitches and was cruising. Why not leave him in and see if maybe he can at least get 1 out. That would lessen the chances of Marmol frickin' up the whole game and ruining a great outing for Demp.

Did they really have to wait so long to take him out? After he walked the first two batters I'd have yanked him. You knew what was coming.

Well dang. Looks like that pretty much happened.

Dempster left out to dry again, what he have like an ERA of 1 this season.

LaHair has been a pleasant surprise. Hopefully we have a spot for him somewhere when Rizzo comes up

We saw flashes of Campana last year but i didnt think he would be this consistent so far. Unfortunately with Jackson doing so well in Iowa its only a matter of time until we have to make a decision

Volstad is trash, love the Garza-Samarjizda duo for our future rotation, and Dolis could be a good one, and CUT MARMOL NOW

I honestly dont think 75 wins is completely out of the question for this team, especially when the starting pitching is throwing gems like they have been as of late

Great start by Dempster...totally fricked. 3 run lead is not enough.

0.95 ERA for the season. Marmol's is over 6 now.

You have to understand, the Cubs are going nowhere this year. They have to keep trotting him out there in the hopes he fixes it and becomes tradeable.

If I was Dempster I would have a very hard time keeping my cool. A starting pitcher that works 8 innings and leaves with a 3 run lead should not have to worry about whether or not his closer can successfully throw a strike.

Chicago is a place where closers go to die...seriously.

But Marmol is one of the worst. He's screwed Garza and Dempster out of at least 8 more wins the last 2 years.

4 wins he cost us helps be right around .500 with a young team that can gain confidence.

I like the optimism, I really do. But they aren't going anywhere.
