Having a QB rating of 78, completion percentage of 59%, throwing 6 TDs and 5 ints, while taking 28 sacks as a full stat line for a season, followed by getting benched for Blaine Gabbert the next season, while demanding Brady and Manning money got him "blackballed".

The Ravens and Steelers offered him a roster spot, he refused and wanted to be a starter and wanted starter money, after playing poorly and being a PR headache. That's why he wasn't in the league.

Being a "martyr" for the cause paid better than taking one of the opportunities that was afforded to him. Because he knew just as well as basically everyone else in the league that if he did show up to camp he would just prove without a doubt that the reason he was jobless was not because he is half black. And the celebrity and pay associated with being "a victim" dries up pretty quickly after that

This is another example how them folks flex their power. The very reason Colin Kaepernick was blackballed.

Colin Kaepernick was so shitty his last year as a starter in San Francisco that he went 1-10 and lost his job to Blaine fricking Gabbert.

Not being good enough.

The NFL saw him as a backup. That's his draft slide plain and simple. NFL teams don't draft players based on Mel Kiper's Big Board contrary to what he believes.

What kind of backup QB do you want? All-in clipboard guy who's at every meeting but knows his role? Or entitled "I'm here to change everything" (what he told GMs in interviews) with Helicopter Dad Prime bitching/meddling all year, taking it to ESPN, sky-screamer Kiper screaming he should be the starter...what organization wants THAT drama for a BACKUP!

Must be exhausting to believe what they did to Colin had nothing to do with race . Secondly never seen them humble trash arse qbs like Zach Wilson , they didn’t do it to Stetson or Johnny truly but they needed to humble this kid and that’s not weird to you?

Manziel was also a total mess as a person. No reason any pro was going to coddle him, lie and tell him he's doing great. But do you see the personality differences and professionalism levels different between Travis Hunter and Shedeur?

FWIW, Tebow had trouble getting a backup job despite being a hard worker because he was seen as a distraction.

That was solely due to the media trying to make him the story rather than him stirring the pot like Shedeur or Kapernick.

Chris Carter’s son was a bum and couldn’t stay eligible in college lol

Irrelevant to the topic at hand. Completely accurate but irrelevant.
