The call should have been made but I keep thinking about what percentage of DB's in the league would have went for the ball instead. Would have been an easy pick and path clear to endzone. Seemed like the ball was in the air for awhile.

Not like it makes a difference, blown calls have historically occurred in the NFL, part of the game, NFL didn't break any laws through this just a frivolous lawsuit for publicity and maybe compel league change through PR pressure

I hated to see this call blown, but ultimately don’t care. The real issue for me is this: if the arbitrator of the league (nfl) is not held accountable or at least investigated for misconduct or incompetence, what stops them from maliciously defrauding fans and teams? If there is no outside oversight or remedy?

I'd hate this. Blown calls happen in every sport.
You think people were pissed Bama got in the NC after losing to LSU? Wait until Saban litigates his way in after a blown call.
If officiating is bad enough, there's a market based solution. Adding legal oversight...well, I don't need the 9th Circuit deciding whether my Arizona Wildcats got fair calls against UCLA. If it makes you mad enough, don't watch.

It’s this same attitude that allows the federal government to act without the consent of the people regularly and for people like you to tell me to bend over and take it because that’s just how it is.
What kind of country would we have if this attitude had prevailed in the 13 colonies?
Yeah it’s a shame that the King send his soldiers over here and quarters them with us...and the taxes...don’t get me started on the taxes. Did you see that awful call where the soldiers massacred some people for talking trash about the officials? Oh well. They should learn to shut up. Can you imagine if the king had to look into every stupid thing his officers did. Accept the score and bow the knee!

Tha k you for making my point. Is football a business? Is it a monopoly? Does it makes tons of money off fans and betting?
You can’t have it both ways.

You're free to dump a bunch of footballs into the Port of New Orleans in protest, I guess?
Is this about how the Patriots only get calls because the Revolution started there? I'm sort of lost.

The federal government violating the Constitution is not analogous to a private professional sports league doing what it does in accordance with its Constitution and CBA

Holy shite dawg its a private pro football league no one's forcing you to watch, its entertainment, the entire point of it is to make money and maintain/increase its commercial appeal

the NFL doesn't govern the American people, we are not its subjects, nothing it does have any impact on our lives unless we voluntarily engage in sports gambling and fantasy football with 3rd party sites and even in that case its our voluntary presumed informed choice to engage in, we can't plausibly complain about the outcomes of games due pro sports' inherent unpredictability affirmed over 100 years of NFL seasons, you're turning crazy, man

I think the admission that they fricked up and cost the Saints a trip to the Super Bowl is ALMOST enough.
They also have to award us damages equal to several draft picks and suspend the referees for 8 games each as payback for the league’s “Bountygate” farce of an investigation.

What alternative am I allowed in the market of football? And I don t much watch it so that’s already done. I’m just making the point that the same attitude has been taken toward all believed to be in authority. This is just further evidence.

It’s a symptom of a larger problem in our society. And I already don’t watch nfl football.

Didn’t realize I wasn’t allowed to have an opinion. This is not nfl football. It is an Internet forum on which to share ideas. Is that you Roger?
