.....the stud white NFL WR's
Obviously we have to start with the great Don Hutson, who is still among the leaders in TD's scored. His 1942 season...74/1211/17 was outerwordly at that time, totally off the charts. A 9.8 sprinter*** vs cats who couldn't break 11.0 will do that. Hutson being Bama's best NFLer ever.
The Rams had Tom Fears and "Crazy Legs" Hirsch, the first stud WR combo, both putting up big numbers, both in the Hall of Fame.
Otto Graham had a great duo in Mac Speedie and Dante Levelli, Dante a Hall of Famer.
Ray Berry was slow, but it just didn't matter, cat had some serious hands, he didn't need stick um, he had it built in. Hall of Famer, obviously.
Charley Hennigan out of NWLa had a 100 catch season and over 1700 for the Houston Oilers, that was freaky at that time. His...SLICK...a must read.
Lance Alworth was a Arkansas RB, a 24 foot long jumper and a 9.6 he was fantastic, the best WR in football and a AFLer with the Chargers.
Speaking of the AFL they also had Don Maynard a rejected NFLer playing for the Jets, he like Alworth in the Hall of Fame.
Fred Biletnikoff was like Berry, not much with speed but caught everything and always open, yep, Hall of Fame.
Steve Largent was actually cut by the Oilers, he is still the greatest Seahawks WR, in that Berry/Biletnikoff school of slow but just doesn't matter.
Can't ignore...
Tommy McDonald Eagles HOF
Dave Parks Niners
Johnny Morris Bears
Dwight Clark Niners
Bobby Joe Conrad/Sonny Randle Cards
Adam Thielen Vikings
*** Hutson was playing baseball there on the Bama campus, there was a track meet going on also, so he walks over to the track changes his shoe and wins the 100 in his baseball uni, then walks back to the diamond
BS???
Lance Alworth

Do you create new threads every time you think of something or did Colin Cowherd inspire you?

I once met a former college football db at the poker table. This dude was a brotha, and he said Steve Largent was the best WR ever.

Wayne Chrebet had a pretty good career for the Jets.
