I don't think LSU got close until the final 2-3 minutes in that game.

lsu should have beaten xavier, and could have beaten tamu

utah was just not even close

that being said, i, as well as many other realistic posters, knew this team was going to struggle early on. i knew this team would turn it on and start playing well down the stretch

now i dont think anybody predicted what we have been able to enjoy this year, but it has happened along the same lines that i thought it would

lsu plays tamu again they beat them

What's your definition of "contenders". Because I'd say all those teams have at least a small shot at making it that far.

OK, and what does that mean? Likely to get to the Sweet 16? A chance to get to the Sweet 16? Lock to get to the Sweet 16?

I know as a OSU fan contender is a word that you are probably unfamiliar with, but come on man. It means they have a good shoot at making it to the sweet 16.

Actually, we are, obviously.

I'm assuming good means above 50%. So I'd say out of that list, Duke, Wake, and Kansas, and that's probably it.

So from looking at your list I can assume that you have watched zero basketball this year and just went with the 3 biggest names on the list.

Other than OSU, I admit, I haven't watched a lot of basketball, mainly due to the way the NCAA Tourney's set up. I've watched a decent amount, though.

I was thinking about adding Clemson, but too inconsistent (though I guess you could say the same about Wake, too). Don't know what's been going on with Duke lately, but have to think it's just a slump. They played a solid OOC, and were very successful. Kansas has just been on a roll lately. They played a decent OOC, as well, and didn't do too bad. Didn't put LSU, because they don't have any strong OOC wins, so I can't say with much confidence that they'll win two games in the tourney, since you don't know how they'll respond out of SEC play (though, I wouldn't be surprised by anything with that team). I'd probably put Gonzaga as a contender, now that I think more about it.
