Todd Gurley had to play in an archaic offense where he was the only threat and teams stacked the box against him.

Look at the stats from 2016 vs. 2017 after McVay revamped that offense, with nearly an identical # of attempts:

2016 - 278 rushes, 3.2 YPC, 6 TDs

2017 - 279 rushes, 4.7 YPC, 13 TDs

Ypc goes up when you get limited carries. Which ironically is the opposite of your college career argument

The injury critique is totally legit though

LF's 2.8 avg is a thing of the past now.

Just as RB Leonard Fournette returned, the #Jaguars are losing a big part of their run game: C Brandon Linder suffered a knee injury that will knock him out this week and possibly beyond, sources say. He’s still undergoing testing and time table is TBD.

That's unbelievable. Which goes to our point as it relates to LF. The dude has been in nothing but terribly schemed offenses, with bad OL, and even worse QBs since he exited HS.

I can't imagine how good he'd be on an NFL team with a competent, offensive minded HC who knew how to develop and/or draft a QB.

That still could happen for Leonard. I hope he's traded as opposed to waiting on free agency.

Would any of y'all like to explain to me why LF averages 3.7 ypc while Henry has had seasons of 4.5 and 4.2 ypc?

Sure

LF averages over 20 attempts per game for his career as the starter

Henry averages 10 as the backup to two separate players

He played like shite against Alabama for sure but he led Henry in almost every college statistic with a worse team around him.
It's sad to me that what Henry did will be forgotten.

Everyone sees Alabama and thinks 1 guy ain't making the difference for them.

Henry carried that football team. Ridley averaged 11 yards per carry. How is that even possible lol. The OL wasn't even that good. And Coker was pure trash the first half of the year. The offense was just hand it to this insanely reliable freak show and hope there's a lane. And he dragged them to a NC.

His greatness won't ever be appreciated, and it's sad. He's the 2011 LSU Tigers.

Yea, his argument that they dragged him to 1,000 yards is correct, just not in the way he thinks. It's a hell of a lot harder to have big, breakout runs when the defense knows you're getting it 30 times a game.

The only game I recall Coker being trash in was Ole Miss.

The first 10 weeks of that season were rough at QB if you're trying to win a NC. Alabama doesn't win it without Henry.

I see a rough Ole Miss game, and a few too many INTs. Certainly not "trash". Look, I agree Henry played a huge role. I'm not arguing against that. But your OL and QB were not trash, that's absurd.

Jesus.

Coker played 4 straight SEC games where he totaled 1 TD pass and 2 INTs.

Guys, Henry carried that football team like nobody else in the country could.

Middle Tennessee wasn't rough?
Georgia wasn't rough?
Arkansas wasn't rough?
aTm wasn't rough?
Tennessee wasn't rough?
LSU wasn't rough?
State wasn't rough?

He had 4 straight SEC games where he totaled 1 TD pass.

What QB have you been watching that makes ^^^^^ not rough?

Thank god for Derrick Henry.

there's a huge difference in "rough" and "trash".

Again, not denying Henry's contributions. He won the Heisman.

You are talking to LSU fans. That isn't rough. That is what we are used to.
