Just heartbreaking. God bless that family.

I'm embarrassed by some of the comments in this threat ranging from pointing fingers at the kid, the parents, etc. By all accounts, he was a good kid with tremendous potential and his parents were good people. Nobody in this thread knows any facts about how it happened, who was there, etc.

How do the phrases go -
Judge not or you shall be judged, and

let he who is without sin cast the first stone

RIP to the guy it's just terrible.

But come on why not just go to a lake house or some shite not 1000 fricking miles in Florida where nothing good is going to come from it. You do not let your kid travel that far knowing of all the shite they will get into. He had a bright bright future signed a fricking scholarship with notre dame and you let him just ruin all that by going to spring break in Florida? Their will be plenty of more spring breaks.

ok at 17 you can:
sign up with the military, pick whatever college you want, have your driver's license, have a job, be charged with a crime as an adult.

If I knew nothing about Adam Wilson prior to this thread, I could tell from reading it that he's a teenager. Showing his youth big time.

So when you have a 17 year old one day ( god forbid) are you going to let him drive 1000 miles away with no adult supervision and get shite faced for a week?

depends how responsible the kid is and everyone they are going with is. I'd probably only let them go if there was at least 1 adult there.

Well you said 17 year olds can do anything.

I'm not even gonna quibble about the drinking age, because I agree it's stupid.

All I was saying is that I could tell you were a teenager because I'm not far removed from that time in my life and I remember thinking/feeling the same way you do. But as you age, life has a funny way of giving you perspective on shite
