Who do you think he could realistically get that he'd prefer over Deion?

None of that would matter in your hypothetical where he would only stay one year.

It would because it's happening this season. And everything that's going on now puts Colorado on the map for the future.
Think about all the kids who are into college football. Most wouldn't be giving Colorado a second thought if Deion wasn't there.
Would you rather have good things for a year? And aftereffects from that? Or not at all?

Y'all have become obsessed with the hypothetical. It was only brought up because nonhyped bros are prejudging the season and recruiting.

The thing is that the attention is irrelevant if it only lasts this year. Kids won't be looking at Colorado in the future if Deion is no longer there.

That's a strong argument for Deion you're making. But no, it definitely wouldn't be irrelevant.
We don't need to belabor all the unknown details of a hypothetical, though. It was only meant to apply to prejudging the season and recruiting from this point.
Maybe if I say that a thousand times it'll have meaning?

Maybe it's time to take a PR step backwards and announce that Coach SANDERS needs to earn his nickname.

What an idea...
I'm sure the staff would be as thrilled to hear about it as I am.
