I've been in that stadium when it felt like 120 in September and in November when wind chill was -28

Just don't wear gear for the opposing team. CU fans DGAF and are a near lock to start shite. I went to an A&M game there when I was 13 and some of their fans (students of course) ran up screaming "frick you" and tossed beer on me and my parents as we were walking in.
My wife went there and was in their band. She says their students were so nuts they even threw batteries and drinks at them during mutiple games.
She just shrugs her shoulders and says they are the Raiders fans of CFB.

In 96 it was minus 10 at kickoff for the KSU game. God knows what the wind chill was. I had my long johns and ski clothes on and a thermos full of Irish coffee. I had great season tickets from 93-2001.

both of my sisters also went to CU and one of them was there at the CU/CSU game that cops pepper sprayed the students and the other was at the Nebraska game when the entire student section got kicked out of the stadium.
I've been to quite a few CU games w/my sisters when they were there and since I've been with my wife. While I haven't seen batteries fly I have seen my fair share of douche bros fricking with opposing fans.
I think the main problem that causes it is CU is so damn expensive for out of state kids that it tends to have a lot more entitled fricks go there than you'd find at the average state school. I would be willing to bet that most of the ones causing shite are out of state students.

Ive been several times since moving to Colorado. Maybe its because CU has been garbage, but the crowd seemed pretty tame. Course I wasnt wearing visiting team gear

I wouldn't be surprised if it was almost purely a student issue. I tend to sit near the student section and the band so that might be why I see more of it. I've never seen olds getting into it with people at CU. Texas Tech fans on the other hand....

Not sure if you remember the game but-Mrs. Pimp called Dat when both were top 10 programs and he got us tickets in the Aggie section (next to your kicker's mom I gave my tix to friends) and then Coach Slocum let us in the locker room after the game. Big win for you guys. I will never forget Dat had a turf rash on his forearm that looked like ground meat and some fan grabbed it while taking a picture and Dat was too polite to object as she dug her nails down into it. Dat's a Man among men. I hope all his Rockport peeps are good.
