I was at the 9-6 game. Got frozen corn dogs thrown at me while walking down the street. And Bama fans love waiting until you walk by them to yell frick you.

In my opinion, yes. Also a really pretty campus, especially in November. Also true for virtually any college town regarding friendly fans.
