title is pretty self explanatory. i think baylor/tcu can get huge if they can continue with their winning ways considering the same state, same conference, and long history playing one another. USC/oregon can get pretty heated as well considering all of the kids from california who are going to oregon

If Patterson/Bryles both stay for a long time ahead than absolutely yes.

As a WVU fan I'll throw in our continuing series against Maryland. Holgorsen and and Edsall HATE each other.

Also, Washington and Washington State. The Petersen/Leach Dynamic could be fun.

I like the washington/Washington state game, but the real underrated rivary out west is arizona/ASU. They HATE one another

Good call, How'd I forget Rod/Graham. Although word on the east coast this way is that Rich has a good shot to be Frank Beamer's successor.

That would make the upcoming VT/WVU series alot more interesting

Todd Graham coached linebackers for 2 years under Rich Rod at WVU from 2001-2002.

I'd love be a fly on that wall to hear their falling out. Butch Jones was also on staff a couple years later.

The rivalry era is long gone and it's not coming back.

Nebraska - Wisconsin can definitely turn into a pretty big rivalry as it appears they will be fighting for the top spot in the Big Ten West every year.

If you have a broad definition of rival, then, yea there are a rivalries around. But as to what rivals once were, there are a few left. (army navy being the prime rivalry).
In the rivalry era, beating a rival was particularly important. It was an achievement in itself. By itself it would almost make a successful season.
Now it just isn't. Too much other stuff going on; the money from a rivalry game is deminimis.

that still exists though. I'd say if you were to ask bama fans about the iron bowl, theyd say it was a game they want to win above all others on the schedule
