So the homerun doesnt even count as a hit? That makes no sense. Its basically saying every batter after that in the inning doesnt count, but they can score runs.

I don't understand how a homerun results in no EARNED RUNS. I cab understand the runner that was on due to an error, but how is the HR not earned?
but if there was an error that should have been an out, and someone hits a home run with 2 outs, it's unearned, I think.
The concept is, the inning should already have been over, and the batter should not have had an at-bat at all. So anything that happens in that case would be unearned.

of course it counts as a hit. counts as RBIs and everything. and it goes on the pitcher's line as a hit, and a run (or runs).
just not an earned run against the pitcher. the error made by the 2nd baseman should have been a play that ended the inning.
every run scored after that point, in that inning, against that pitcher, is unearned.

It's considered a hit, but the runs aren't earned due to the error on an inning ending play

So the homerun doesnt even count as a hit?
Earned runs are simply a statistic applied to the pitcher. If he's able to get 2 outs, and there is an error, then by definition- he, the pitcher, has done everything he should have done to earn 3 outs. The error should have been the 3rd out.
Anything resulting in runs after that, is unearned, because technically, you're asking the pitcher to get more than 3 outs in a single inning.
