I agree. I guess they're trying to make their 4 tie in bowls conference sound better than it is, which is about as low level you can be in fbs.

yes, ODU was.

I remember because I went and saw South AL beat them in basketball at the Sun Belt tournament championship at the Civic Center many years ago.

early 90's.

No shite.

Supposedly, they're announcing stadium expansion plans soon. Wonder if he's pitching in?

if he's a billionaire he could built a really nice stadium that could move CC up quickly and look attractive to CUSA or AAC

Well for the Sunbelt, he brought in a)G Sou who has one of the top football programs and the best team last year, clearly elevating the league's football; b)Appy State who has one of the top 4 or so football programs; c)Ga State, who sucks in football, but has the best basketball program, earned more for the Sunbelt than any other program last year with their win in the hoops tourney, and which is the highest profile research university in the league by a mile.
C Carolina is great for baseball, and will help hoops a lot - a hoops league that has been really bad overall.

There's nothing any sunbelt commish can do to stop teams leaving for C-USA.
