Attendance has been garbage. Most of the natives are either Gamecocks or Tigers and the Yankee retirees in Myrtle Beach couldn't give a damn.

Typically, struggling clubs/bad economy times, you offer free tix to get ppl in the door, then they buy a boat load of concessions, which is where ballparks make most of their ganeday $$, along with parking.

There’s got to be some limit to this right? Do they realize how shameless some Americans are?

Yeah. Over the last couple of years, I know Coastal will do a promo on their tickets to try to get more people to go. Obviously the atmosphere is nowhere near South Carolina or Clemson but it is a good atmosphere to take kids/family too and not spend a ton of money going to a football game.

According to their wiki page, in 2024 Coastal Carolina averaged 18,622 in 6 home game in a 21,000 seat stadium.
That is 88% of capacity.

That is probably tickets sold per game and not actual attendance. So maybe they are trying get more fans at the game.

Free beer and they'll have a packed rowdy stadium every game.

Usually trying to get more fans means you are trying to make more money

You aint making more money with free concessions

Falcons games with cheap concessions kinda different because tickets are expensive and cheap concessions might actually lead to higher volume of concessions sold

Just goes to show you how cheap that food is. I’m sure the soft drinks cost a little bit more but nacho chips, cheese and hot dogs are cheap AF.
