Nice job screwing up the facts of the case by the reporter.
When you have insurance, you need to go to the docotrs in your network. It really isnt that hard.
The organization is correct if they pay for out of network care for one person they are then setting a precedent that could/would force them to pay for others.
I think the problem is there are only the team doctors in the network.

"well if we save YOUR life, we gotta save EVERYBODY's life too"
From strictly a PR standpoint, if I were the owner I would have personally written a check for his care and have it put it in the media that I did so.

I could understand the use of only doctors in the network. Most insurances have a system where an out of network doctor can be used if a certain type of doctor is not originally in the network.

The point was that he had insurance, and chose to go with a doctor out of network. If you do this, you will pay 70000 instead of having insurance cover you. I find no fault with the Clippers and the media totally flipped this story to the negative. Great job.

if only you were the Clips owner. then you probably wouldn't do stuff like heckle your own player at games.

Not sure if serious

If all these super rich people (athletes, actors, ect.) chipped in for other causes, this would be a better place to live.
Instead, they waste tons of money on things no person needs. I guess that's America's take on capitalism.
lol what

100% serious. He provides insurance for his employees. If said employee decides to go out of network, then pay for it yourself. Or in this case have the players pay for it. The owner is correct, if he did this for one employee he would set the bar for everyone to do it.

Wow, reading up on this, and if most of what has been posted is true, what an egregious article this person has written.
To leave out such facts that honestly completely exonerate the Clippers in this situation is an example of what is wrong with sports media today.
That is terrible.
