Sweet. Go talk to somebody who cares.

ETA: Here's a look at some of the early opening/line movement as the playoff matchups were set: LINK

1 of them didn't qualify for a bowl and A&M is a 2nd tier team. I give them credit for scheduling and beating A&M of course. Solid team and program

Do they have hypothetical lines out for finals matchups?

There were lines released Friday before the ccg. But haven't seen anything since the games.

Consensus wise, 59 % of the wagered bets like Clemson while 67 % of the wagered bets like LSU.

The Action Network (which is just one data point obviously) Has their ratings as
Clemson 104
OSU 101.5
LSU 100

So they'd have Clemson a 2.5 favorite over OSU and 4 over LSU, OSU a 1 point favorite over LSU.

They don't make lines game by game.

They make a list of teams and give them a rating. You subtract the lower from the higher and that's the spread. Then you can adjust based on home/away, weather, injuries, etc.

So it's pretty easy to have a general idea of a line for a game that wouldn't happen.

I'd like to actually talk football at some point. I've heard Clemson's DL is a bit lighter in the pants and not as effective as the past few years. Obviously they had super talent there the last couple, so I'd like to hear from some fans as to whether OSU will be able to run the ball somewhat effectively. OSU has established the run against everyone this season, so that will be the biggest key IMO to an OSU win. Think they have a good shot of doing that against Clemsons DTs as of now but would like to hear other opinions

Clemson is running mostly a 3 man front this year because we don't have the DT personnel of the past 5 years.

We will go to the 4 man front occasionally with Isaiah Simmons showing up all over the place. They will blitz him or put him in coverage.

The starting DT in that 3 man front is a true freshman who is a really good player, but he is no Dexter Lawrence or Christian Wilkins. It will be a different story for Clemson next year with the studs coming in and another year of development of some of the young guys.

Our DEs have been a little disappointing as there are a couple five stars in the mix, but part of it is likely the scheme we are forced to play this year with a 3 man front. In obvious passing downs they can get after the quarterback.

This team can be run on, but will tend to crowd the box with our safeties and linebackers to offset the weakness up front. The CB's are elite. Safeties are solid, but Muse can be picked on in coverage and likely will get picked on.

I think this is a bad matchup for Clemson with OSU's run game and a mobile QB, but Venables has shown he is one of the best in the business in these types of situations.
