Chris Froome "fake crash" conspiracy

The conspiracy theory is that Froome got popped by UCI and that the crash never happened. Basically, UCI was worried about yet another scandal.
In this way, he is out of cycling, and when he "comes back" it will create dram a and interest for next year.
The conspiracy theorists point to Phil Gaimon, a cyclyst that hit the wall at 50km, and his pics from his hospital room. His youtube vid looked real rough. When compared to Froome's pic from the hospital room, they are radically diffetent. Froome is smiling, no scratches or bruises, no medical devices, all while posing thumbs up.
I have to admit, I would imagine that I would have expected to see a variety of hospital type devices in the ICU.
In the very least, I find the theory to be interesting. Then again, maybe my bias is showing. I think Froome is dirty (mechanical AND chemical doping). At any rate, in spite of this, I am looking forward to the tour. I guess I'm just a rube.

I don’t have any idea what the hell you are talking about. So clearly it’s not building much intrigue

I actually like Froome, and do believe he actually crashed and is hurt. But those were some curious pics.
Going to be a weird Tour this year for me, without Paul Sherwen, RIP.

What! I didn’t know Paul Sherwen died.

This theory is bullshite. Froome crashed. That is the story.

Whoa. Did not know about Paul Sherwen. Hopefully Phil Liggett is going to call the Tour this year. Phil's commentary makes the Tour amazing.
On Froome, It wouldn't surprise me if he got popped. The pressure and Money involved with succeeding and winning in cycling is immense. I think they should allow some supplements and PEDs for these guys.
Watching the Tour during a Mountain Stage on TV, hooked me for life. Seeing Lance Armstrong crush people on the mountains was compelling television. PEDs aside, Lance brought cycling into the US culture.

Agreed. Especially when your two biggest challengers are on your own team.
The mechanical doping aspect is facinating.
Below is a link to a quick vid showing a Sky rider (Froome?) after the finish.
In short, it looks to me as though his bike moves on its own power (his legs are stationary). Maybe the area was on a slight decline, but it would have to be an optical illusion from a filming stanpoint as it looks flat to me. The video from 1:12 mark is interesting.

You are kidding right? That guy is pushing him from the back.

Are you drunk?
His left hand is on his side...not his back.
Sober up and watch again.

Do you even road ride?? It takes a slight push and he is going downhill.

He finishes going up hill, he then turns 180 degrees
That means he is facing down hill and so doesn’t need to peddle. Although you do see a couple of half peddles and foot pushes aswell as the guy behind him on his back.
Mechanical doping in the pros has been proven false time and time again and it’s frankly embarrassing that the French continually drag it up because their riders suck(Minus Alaphilippe)

Either way, Skye is like the Posties and have bought the best Tour team.
Here's a good BBC doc on British cycling.

The only one I think that has come close to mechanical doping in my mind was one of my favorite riders, Cancellara. His 2010 Roubaix and Flanders. But Specialized displayed his watss at 1400 when he dropped Boonen in Flanders. But still, the way he pulled away.
