Good, that means more open shots for Leonard, Parker, Duncan, and Ginobili. See ya Miami.

How many people do y'all think it will take to shut green down? All they need to do is not completely lose track of him on rotations and in transition

Like I said earlier, this will be the 6th game...I doubt they just now realized this. I'm sure they had something in their gameplan to slow him down and it just hasn't worked............Or maybe they're really incompetent and just now realized they need to do something about it.

He actually made more contest 3's in game 5 than wide open looks iMO.

It's more about effort on rotations and fighting screens when it comes to guarding Green. When the Heat have that insane defensive effort they have stymied San Antonio's offense. It's all about how long they can sustain that effort though.

Easier said than done.

He's been getting more open looks than usual because the heat are trapping on the PnR and packing the paint to limit Parker's drives to the rim.

Stay at home on green, and the paint opens up. Parker was 10 for 10 in the painted area last game. He will go hog wild if Miami decides to give him more space to operate.

IMO, If they start to turn their focus on guys like Green and Neal than the Heat will lose.

Green is lighting the court on fire. You HAVE to turn your focus on Green.

I've said it before....if the Heat want to win this game they have to limit SA to midrange jumpers. Keep SA off the boards, away from the rim, and off the 3-point line.

Of course, this is no easy task.

That's a TALL order--especially considering Duncan can stroke that midrange jumper all day.

Miami almost has to hope for SA to have an off game. The Spurs really are amoebic in the ways they can beat you.

Heat can play a great game and STILL lose--they must jump on SA early and run 'em out of the gym to get this to 7. The longer they let SA hang around, the more certain I am that the Spurs can burn 'em like they did in game 1.

Of course I don't mean give them uncontested midrange jumpers. Just run them off the line. I'd rather that than leaving them raining 3's all day and getting to the rim at will.

Not at all. Miami just has to capitalize on the turnovers more.

Agree, but its a combination of both teams' level of play. Neither team is obviously better than the other. The Spurs playing well I think defeats the Heat playing well....but that doesn't always happen. The Spurs with a healthy Parker might have ended this series already.

I did say "almost"

Agree on the turnovers, although MIA has actually done a solid job of getting points off SA turnovers this entire series. Only exception was possibly last night--SA had 19 of 'em and MIA still couldn't capitalize enough.

Meh, I dunno if I buy that. Parker's a little banged up, but most players are at this point in the year. He put up 26 last game--dude's sore, but it's not hurting his production.

Nah, heat play a great game and they're winning, like by double digits

What has Spurs coach Gregg Popovich told Green about adapting to a different Heat game plan?

"I haven't said anything," Popovich said

lot of confidence considering they were blown out in game 3 and beat handily in game 5.

how about instead of saying "great game", saying "when the Heat decide to GAF"?

IF the Spurs have an off game. The Spurs are a better team with better players and that is just a fact.

This. Problem is that Parker, and Ginobli when he's on, can hit those winding arse floating mid range shots that are almost impossible to guard.

In the first game, they went at Duncan and got him in foul trouble. When he was out, they had their way, they just couldn't knock down shots and capitalize. I think they have to go at Duncan to get him out of the game long enough to build a lead.

Someone from Miami, Allen, Miller, Cole,or Chalmers, needs to have a big game too in this one I think.

It has to be Chalmers, imo. He can get to the rim a lot better than Cole can.

My worry is Allen. He can't guard Green.
