I thought the B's, if anything, outplayed the Pens for most of the game, though I thought it was pretty darn even. Both teams hit lots of posts, and that was about even. I don't think the hockey gods had anything to do with it.
Besides, if they did, the Pens would've lost to the Isles. A series in which they were outchanced, but won anyway:

The Pens didn't lose because of luck. they are losing this series because the Bruins are outplaying them. The Pens played em even tonight, but it wasn't enough.

Yeah, MSNBC acted as the propaganda arm of the Penguins? You don't say. that's completely unlike their behavior. Oh, and if your point relies on an appeal to authority, and that authority is Mike Milbury, you're probably wrong.
At even strength, the Pens had a shot on goal advantage of 38-35, almost entirely due to the 3rd period in which they did dominate and fail to score (SOG: 12-3). Over the game, the Pens had a Corsi edge of +4 which isn't that significant, and once again, a function of that 3rd period. It also doesn't count that the Bruins had a 4-0 SOG edge at 4 on 4, which pretty much wipes out the EV edge.
The Penguins played well. They could have won this game. But to say they dominated this game is just flat wrong. They did tilt the ice in the 3rd, but most of the OT, outside of the power plays, were played in the Bruins offensive end. It was coin flip hockey, but when you play coin flip hockey, it normally comes up for the home team.

It was. One of the best games of the playoff. By the end, it looked like guys were skating in mud, they were so tired.

from what i caught this morning from the 3rd period on it looked pretty even. Like Boston caught its grove late and esp late in the 3rd and in OT looked the better team.

BTW - Gregory Campbell broke his leg in the 2nd period blocking a shot, AND STAYED ON THE ICE FOR A MINUTE TO KILL A PENALTY. He is out for the rest of the postseason.

They made a comment either on the broadcast or intermission that you wouldn't see some Italian Soccer player do that, they would be flailing after a strong breeze. I thought the comment was awesome and very true.

Ugh, Cindy Crosby is whining about the refs again today - says they're not calling the blatant penalties on the B's saying Jagr hooked Malkin to create the turnover that led to the goal. I wish this crybaby would just shut the hell up and play hockey. It's becoming absurd that he has to go hit up the microphones after the games instead of acting like he's the GOAT. His reputation with the fans is getting shot to shite when he does this kind of crap.
