Have we discussed this western conference final scheduling yet? Its horrendous. If Detroit wins tonight, game 1 is in LA on friday. If Chicago wins, game 1 is on Saturday and then game 2 is sunday. Just turrible

Either us or Detroit is getting screwed all over NBC wanting to put Crosby in primetime
Posted on 5/29/13 at 2:20 pm to WestCoastAg
In that case let's go Red Wings!

That or because Boston-Pitt primetime on NBC will post sky high ratings that no other series could touch.

Right. And they are screwing a team because of it. either us or Detroit will get an incredibly terrible schedule all because of ratings. That is a pretty reasonable gripe to have.

Maybe in other sports, the NHL needs all the ratings it can get to grow the game.

How does Pitt-Boston being on NBC in primetime factor into that?
Posted on 5/29/13 at 6:28 pm to UltimateHog
I hope Pitt kicks the bruins arse...other than Toews...Kris Letang is one of my favorite players, like to see him do good.

By making us play back to back in games 1 and 2 if Chicago wins tonight. Game 1 is Saturday and game 2 will be Sunday at chicago. That's just stupid
Detroit gets screwed if they win tonight as well. They then have to get their asses on a plane and fly to LA for a game on friday

And the Pens Bruins have to play games 6 and 7 back to back if it goes that far.
NHL scheduling has been atrocious all playoffs.

I get real nervous with Crawford in those situations.
Then again, I said the same thing about Niemi when we won the cup.
