re: Check this Astros shift against Joey Gallo

There are some leagues that only allow so many infielders past 2nd base, on each side. I think the way they get around it, in some leagues(not MLB), is having the 2b or ss play a shallow Outfield. He cannot touch the dirt infield, but in the grass he's ok.

It’s not like he’s hitting it off a fricking tee. The pitcher is still trying to get him to miss or ground to the right.

shite igetting a hit in the majors is hard enough. Getting on a guy fro not being able to take it the other way like it’s no big deal is a bit much

This is the line of thinking i don’t understand. So you shift to take away certain hits on one side of the field, but you are ok with a hit to the other side?
