Does being at this game count?
Crazy crap like this is what makes the LSU vs Auburn rivalry so great. This rival is equal to LSU vs Bama and LSU vs Ole Miss. Definitely our top 3 rivals.

I was at that Auburn game and it was crazy.
First PA announcement when black smoke started to rise: "folks we have a small fire outside the stadium, but nothing to worry about. Everybody just remain where you are."
Second PA announcement when the black smoke became huge and the tops of flames became visible over the top of the stadium: "folks it's a large fire but don't worry, the fire department has everything under control. The safest thing to do is stay where you are and not panic."
Third PA announcement when a wall of fire was backdropping the corner of the stadium: "folks it's your life and your families' safety, we're not going to tell you what to do here."

I’m going to miss LSU-Auburn being an annual series. More impactful/important moments in 32 years of being an annual series than some of the other LSU series that are or were annual. Even the Earthquake Game of ‘88 occurred when they were rotating foes.
I’d rather play Auburn every year than Texas A&M or Miss. State.

The funny thing is that nowadays they’d have evacuated the whole stadium and probably called in the national guard to secure the perimeter
In ‘96 it was like “ehhh, frick it. Just play.”

I was at the barn burn game as a wee lad with my grandparents. Pawpaw was a professor at auburn. Iconic moment.
I was on the auburn side with them looking straight at the flames and my parents were on the LSU side with the flames to their back.

I was in the student section, and I had gone in early, right after gates opened, to get a good seat. The fire hadn't started then. But by the time it was really going, apparently they stopped checking tickets (student gates were right across the street from the fire) and were just letting people stream in.

Gotta find a way to include Deion in this thread.
