Seriously Rondon is never gonna get a save

I think we bring back Marmol to reduce some of our leads late so Rondon can nail more down.

I just checked, he's available. This team needs to learn to face adversity before October. Marmol can help with that.

I used to like to watch Marmol strike out the first guy walk the bases loaded with two HBPs, then strike out the last two guys with no damage done.

Marmol is the best adversity creator in the history of organized baseball

I don't remember too much of that last part happening.

This was when Marmol was setting up for Kerry. Not when he was the closer and imploded.

When he was the closer, he did this:

quote:

Three walks and one ball put in play in the ninth inning tell the entire story of Friday’s loss to the Braves. Carlos Marmol blew his fifth save of the season after walking the bases loaded in the ninth. The Braves put only one ball in play unfortunately it was a bases clearing triple by Rick Ankiel … on a 2-2 pitch with two outs. Marmol ended up striking out the side but could not get Ankiel to swing and miss at strike three.

I missed it. He got mad that strop threw a quick pitch?

Strop might rip this fool's head off.

Strop threw a FB and Rodriguez took a big cut and missed. Strop got right back on the mound ready to throw again and Rodriguez was way out of the box and Strop was like "come on" then Rodriguez started jawjacking and the umpire did a great job of cooling them both off.

Rodriguez used to be a Ray I think under Maddon. Not sure what his deal is with screaming into the Cubs dugout.

I've been watching this Gregory Polanco guy...he seems like he's going the way of Soler on defense. He looks to be way too talented to be kinda bad on defense.

Would still be an improvement from costas' "looking to the heavens praying for forgiveness from some long lost relative" (or something like that)

That's still one of the weirdest things i've heard from an announcer. And I used to be forced to listen to hawk harelson
