Later Friday evening, Bill Rabinowitz and Joey Kaufman with the Columbus Dispatch reported additional details on the story. According to their report, the loan was believed to be used to assist his family in attending last season’s Rose Bowl.
Haven't read the thread but I'm sure tOSU is getting memed hard af. But this is a stupid reason to suspend a player.

Getting your family to the Rose Bowl to watch a football game is considered "basic life expenses" by his lawyer?

Fix your bunched up panties. It being sad and being propped up as "basic life expenses" are two completely different things. It sucks, absolutely, but it's still not a necessity.

They get stipends for basic life expenses.

There are ways to get your family to the game without taking money from a booster. It's a BS excuse.

It's somewhat complicated, but I kinda agree.

At the same time, if there needs a suspension of some kind, serve it vs Maryland and Rutgers.

Memphis is going all in. But they are much different seasons and sports.

not really, he's already played most of the season, so just roll with him.

I do agree that your second string defense would slaughter bother Maryland and Rutgers though.

Has it been answered HOW he paid back his friend or family member?

What job was he working to do this... and does he have the pay slips to prove it. If not he is lying.

If it was for his family, why couldn’t their income be the source of repayment?

Why would he take the payment from a family friend if it was actually for his family? Why wouldn't his mom get the money directly?

The whole ordeal sounds super convenient.
