All of this so he could pay to fly his girlfriend to the Rose Bowl.

When is OSU vacating them wins? No wonder Urban got “sick” again
Hadn't thought of the Urban connection. None of this passes the smell test. That kids been getting paid to play for OSU and he ain’t the only one.

Got a loan to fly his family out to watch him pay, and paid it back. Meanwhile, millions are being made off this kid.

The NCAA needs to go away.

So you are totally fine with CFB becoming a professional league? Not judging just want you on record for the future when OSU loses a recruit to another team.

You really think athletes born and raised in the South genuinely prefer going to Columbus for 3-5 years and living in that cold over the numerous great programs south of the Mason-Dixon without financial incentives.

What flavor Kool-aid y’all passing around these days?

Kids want to play in the NFL. That's why they come up to Columbus.

And Alabama, Florida, Georgia, FSU, Miami, LSU definitely have a better history of doing that for blue chippers, not to mention the Auburn, Tennessee, Louisville, South Carolina, and Virginia Techs of the world.

No blue chip recruit from the Deep South is going that far north unless they are getting well compensated, plain and simple.

First, Columbus isn’t cold like Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit or Buffalo kind of cold. Second, Columbus is one of the fastest growing cities in all of America. It has almost nothing in common with other midwestern cities. Columbus is a great city, add in the fact that we are a football factory....yes kids from the south love coming to Ohio St to play!!!

Only USC and Notre Dame have done it more.

It’s 33° in Detroit and Chicago right now - Columbus is 30°

Columbus is nice compared to say Cleveland and Dayton. But it’s thoroughly meh compared to other US cities. Indianapolis and Minneapolis are easily better cities too.

It's in the 40s in Florida right now. Tuscaloosa is 39.

I’m confused. Are people saying that new standardized NCAA rules will send players to the south instead of tOSU? Even though tOSU currently out-recruits most every school listed in that argument?

That argument is old and tired
Side note: this thread has gone to shite. Happy to see Chase will more than likely only miss a game or two though.

Nothing will change for y’all, the curtain will just be pulled back and you and the Notre Dame will lose that self-appointed righteous moral high ground you pride yourself on.
