New Marc Stein update on ESPN:
quote:

NBA front-office sources told ESPN.com that the deal was nearly consummated Friday and that talks had advanced to the point that the swap could be completed later Monday or Tuesday, barring any unexpected late snags.

This makes the Hornets a better team next season.

Also, it provides a solid core once Butler/Daniels/Mo Pete/Peja get off the books.

If Wright pans out (big if, but starting this year may help), the Hornets have a solid roster in CP3/(slasher from FA)/Wright/West/Okafor

ESPN making it sound like they expect other players might be added in.

our only concern now should be TC passing the physical.

I'm thrilled but I don't see what the Bobcats would get out of this deal.

I agree but I can't imagine they would've gotten anywhere near this level of seriousness if that were still a concern. Every one knows that going in now, you know what I mean.

Remember MJ's running the show over there.

Kwame Brown, Adam Morrison, and Brandan Wright were logical top 5 picks to him. Not to mention DJ Augustin last year when the already have Felton

I don't know how excited Chandler would be to give a huge discount to a team thats traded him twice in 6 months.

buyouts can be spread out over time right? because I doubt they buy him out if it has to be a lump sum. hell I doubt they buy him out at all.

Most of us have a lot of crow to eat regarding the Hornets' front office (assuming this goes through).

I'm stepping up with my new avatar. How about SFP, NIH, Bromo, etc?
