Catholic is not great, but is better than their record. Their losses to Jesuit, Dutchtown could have easly been wins. If they win those 3 instead, they are 7-1. The only shitty game they had was against STM, but the circumstances surrounding that game were complicated because of the hurricane.

Central is of course pretty good this year, so it should be a good game.

If Central plays like they did on friday against DSHS, it will be a blowout.

GO WILDCATS!

This is HS football, and CHS has won district 6 straight times. Not a chance?

I think Central will probably win, but it'll be a good game.

This isnt the teams of old..... Central or Catholic. Historically Catholic usually does kick our arse, but I dont think so this year.

As long as Denham beats Scotlandville they will be co-district champs with the winner between Central and Catholic.

Wait, Central and Denham would both be one loss teams in this case, correct? And, from there, Central won the head to head last week. So, Central has the tie-breaker and if both win, they'd be outright champs. Wouldn't they?

But yeah, being a Central student, I'm definitely pulling for the Wildcats!

On a serious note. Central put asswhipping on Denham and if they stay consistent especially on defense they can go a long way.

There is no tiebreaker. Both teams would be co-champs. Power ratings decide where teams are placed on the bracket, so no tiebreaker is used.

That is true, but we'll see what happens. I think Catholic has a reasonable shot.

Ah, didn't know that. That's kind of unfortunate. Thanks for the info.

Speaking of HS Playoffs:

IF Catholic beats Central and Scotlandville beats Denham that would give the Bears the outright district title, however the Bears would still likely be behind in the power rankings. Would be the same if Redemptorist beat Parkview.

Question: Do district champs get a more favorable seed in the playoffs or is seeding based strickly on power ranking?
