yes
while he forgets the history of the producers, which is why they are where they are
just like he claims weak SOS is a contractual situation while ignoring how the BCS is contractual as well

How is giving Boise inequal bowl and TV payouts "helping Boise greatly?"
Because with out the BCS they wouldn't be getting anything. What has Boise done to deserve a bigger share? The big conferences and schools built CFB.

where were the TCU-BSU ratings last year? 2nd to last of all BCS bowls
Yeah, because of the stupid non-AQ vs. non-AQ matchup. People want to see the non-AQ schools take on AQ schools.
I'll concede the history point.

shouldn't BSU, if it is this elite program nationally who produces big ratings, produce these ratings regardless of opponent?

Not when a lot of their games are on weird nights for college football (Thursday and Friday) and quite a few of their conference opponents are not worth watching.

The Fiesta Bowl was isolated and vs a top 10 opponent. If people tune in for Boise, they should have tuned in more for that one.

ok well restrict it to the BCS game last year
if BSU is a producer, shouldn't they have produced big ratings last year, regardless of opponents?
hell UF was relegated to playing the BE champ and they still produced better ratings

Also, the backlash to the BCS' decision of pairing up TCU and Boise could have contributed to low ratings. I don't have any hard evidence on this, but it's definitely food for thought.

No it's not

the backlash to the BCS' decision
the "BCS" is a contract and status
the "BCS" didn't choose this matchup, the bowls privy to the BCS contract did
and sure there was a fan reaction to BSU being matched up with TCU...you didn't get a ratings bump like you would have by playing an elite producer, like you did in 2006

VT did rush for 128 yards and 2 TDs, and scored 30 points
