Akron resident says police have been outside LeBron's Akron-area house tonight and people were driving by cussing out the window.

I agree that the Cavs will never get a legit free agent, but that is just because of their location. I doubt anyone would care that if they don't choose to re-sign, that the owner will talk shite about him.

Cleveland just needs to quit basketball all together. Just let the players go sign somewhere else.

THE frickING MAN!!!!!

Actually, if this were true, he would have gotten Lebron at least one decent teammate years ago.

I feel bad for the fans in Cleveland, but Gilbert's letter is just an attempt at continuing to sell tickets for what just became one of the worst teams (once again) in the NBA.

This dude is classless
He might set the record for squandering favorable public opinion/sympathy. Taking the high road and saying something like "we're disappointed but thankful for the time we had" would've helped set up Lebron as a villain.

Now he's exposing the Cavs as a 2nd-class, slipshod organization and pushing people to Lebron's side. The bluster and bravado might impress the dumber people in his own fanbase but it looks awful to the rest of the country.

NOBODY wanted to go there when Lebron was actually there. He begged Bosh and Amare to come there and they said frick that.

This guaratess a roster full of Delont West's who theyll have to over pay

It's more of a lack of professionalism than fear of talking shite about you

And that's because they are in the Rust Belt in a dying city with miserable weather.

Gilbert tried pretty much everything to get good guys around LeBron, but the best he could do were mediocre players like Mo Williams and aging vets like Shaq and Jamison.

Pretty much anything Gilbert does will not change the fact that I think much less of LeBron now than 2 months ago.

Looks like the only star left on the Cavs is Delonte West, if you guys get my drift.

No, not at all. But I don't see what other angle Gilbert can use.

Just to be clear, I wasn't calling the Cavs fanbase dumb. I was specifically referring to the dumber portion of the Cavs fanbase.

If that's the interpretation that offended you, I apologize for being unclear.
