Haven't read whole thread, but as a CHS Alum, does this mean we're headed back to the Curtis Varnado era?
Because, I'm not gonna contribute to the bagman fund for that.
I'm sorta enjoying the all bells and whistles age of CHS Athletics..
Haters, have you seen that new tricked out Student Union?

Lol Byrd was terrible. Both of Catholic’s other playoff opponents would’ve blown Byrd out just like Catholic did. Congrats on being on the shitty side of the bracket?
Sounds like you’re upset that Catholic got caught cheating. Sucks to suck.

I wouldn’t call the allegations cheating. I’ll say it again, the alleged misconduct doesn’t warrant the 4 year retroactive punishment (especially forfeiting championships won in a SELECT division) and the LHSAA is a clown show run by the master clown.
Choupiquesushi said there was more we needed to gather on the alleged misconduct but wouldn’t enlighten us with the details when I asked. Assigning assistant coaches to contacts within youth programs in the BR area and instructing them on how to go about their interactions with those contacts is weak sauce for these sanctions. What’s the rule against that? Serious question because I don’t know.

It’s the same one Brother Martin broke when their coaches showed up at a camp in Slidell
Or when Holy Cross came looking for kids where they weren’t supposed to
But Catholic did it much more systematically on steroids

If you are in the know and know people... you know. If you think the LHSAA would take away four trophies over trivial matters - the LHSAA is not the clown show.
This is what many principals have been calling for FOR years... The hard part is proving it.
and schools are very reluctant(public and private) to turn other schools in.
Talk to an asst at the school that turned them in or a former coach - they will probably tell you.

in.

If there was some superstar, you might have an argument. But I defy you to point out one kid that the team could not have lost and won these championships. Hell they lost the starting QB the last 4 games and had to start a freshman and it didn’t affect them. This was just a well coached, hard working bunch of kids.

You aren’t convincing anyone.
I don't have to convince anyone, just trying to point out the obvious that many are refusing to see.

I’m still struggling to find the actual rules against this. In fact, in your Brother Marrin link, they respond with this:
quote:
The LHSAA has yet to notify us of the specific rules violations that have been alleged against us by another member school," the statement said. "We did receive a notification of rule(s) violation(s) and an assessment of penalty via email from the LHSAA, but at no point have we received any specifics from the LHSAA in regard to the allegations.

You’re not doing a very good job other than acting like you know something. All you say is “if you know, you know”.
I know the involved parties. Credible is not how I would describe the accusers. If there’s more than what I described in my last couple posts, spill it.

You are right it didn’t warrant going back 4 years. It warranted more. Should have been at a minimum 1 year post season ban. Only reason it wasn’t is because that staff is gone. It must have been pretty bad to have the former coach banned from coaching in the LHSAA
Posted on 6/24/21 at 9:26 am to Naptime
So you think it warranted a post season ban based on “It must have been pretty bad” ?
That’s all I hear from people on here that like to act like they know something. “It must have been bad” and “if you know, you know”. What rules did they violate? If you’re certain that it warranted more than 4 year retroactive penalty, you should be able to tell us what was actually happening, right?

It'll all come out at some point too many other coaches know.
Like one bear parent told me before this even broke "something must be up, because coaches are leaving and not meeting with the kids before they go"
Catholic admin must have thought the penalties were warranted because they did not appeal the penalty - it is incredibly rare for a school not to appeal major sanctions like this.
if you know all the involved parties you shouldn't have to ask for what happened on a message board.

I’ve already posted some of it. You are obviously tied to Catholic and bias to the situation. Nothing will change your mind
Posted on 6/24/21 at 9:44 am to RGJ18
I guess I shouldn’t have said it must have been pretty bad. I should have said it was pretty bad

What was wrong with being real good at cross country, swimming, tennis, and golf? Being a gay bear myself it makes me laugh to say CHS is now the Alabama of vacated titles

Your post about the recruiting manual? I know that. Is that it?
